Jon is an experienced marketing professional with extensive strategic experience across B2B, B2C and not for profit sectors, for organisations of all sizes. Working across the marketing mix and taking a ‘through the line’ approach, Jon offers particularly expertise in audience development, PR strategies, income generation, database marketing, brand expansion, integrated planning and digital marketing.

jon’s first Marketing Manager role was for the Welsh Government in 2002. Based in Aberystwyth Jon worked on digitisation projects with a brief of increasing public engagement with Welsh cultural history. Responsible for website development, community outreach, brand identity and PR, several landmark projects including Their Past Your Future and 100 Welsh Heroes were developed and launched.

Following four years in Aberystwyth Jon took the position of Marketing Services Manager for Swansea Council working in the Culture and Tourism directorate. Sitting on the Senior Management Team he managed a 15-strong Marketing Services team with responsibility for all external and internal communications. Key projects delivered included the rebranding of all indoor leisure facility as ‘Active Swansea’, the relaunch of the Swansea Leisure Centre as ‘The LC’ and rolling out new brands for Waterfront Winterland, Wales National Airshow and Swansea Bay Summer Festival.

After a five year term at Swansea Council Jon returned to the private sector as Head of Marketing for a Swansea based consumer services business called Save Britain Money. Working across a portfolio of five companies with the objective of delivering continued growth through integrated marketing solutions. Key areas of the role included driving sales leads through direct response advertising, building web traffic and actions to buy, increasing cross selling and maximising PR. Jon successfully managed an application for Best Companies Status resulting in 2nd place finish0, a 26th place listing in The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100, and two consecutive years in the Welsh Fast Growth 50.

In 2016 Jon began working for Bhupinder Sidhu at Precision Financial. Initially recruited to produce and deliver annual marketing strategies with a particular focus on increasing client acquisition through digital marketing, the role developed to include web development and SEO. High search engine rankings using onsite and offsite SEO for key terms around pension, protection, mortgage and trust services were achieved and integrated with a comprehensive social media and email marketing plan. In 2018 the client bank of the business was sold at profit allowing Jon and Bhupinder to launch a new B2B connection business called South Wales Connect whilst also drawing up plans for the launch of Business Butler.
