The Swansea Bay Region includes four local authorities: Pembrokeshire, the City and County of Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Carmarthenshire County Councils. A prime example of this is Milford Haven, the town has grown around one of the largest natural harbours in the world and is responsible for almost one third of UK ‘s natural gas imports. The steelworks at Port Talbot and Trostre in Llanelli are major employers and reminders that the area was once a world leader for industry.
