Sam has been working in learning technology and content development since 2005. After a decade working in financial services, he set up Transform eLearning to offer his services more widely. Since then, he’s worked on projects for the BBC, Environment Agency, GSK and Astra Zeneca, but he also works extensively with SME’s to help them take their first steps into the world of learning technology.
Sam’s passion is solving problems, which is why he bases his approach around a method called design thinking. This involves user research up front, to pinpoint the true nature of the problem and an ongoing cycle of user testing and feedback throughout the project. He’s extremely good at joining the dots and finding novel solutions to problems.
Design thinking is an incredibly powerful approach, but sometimes you just need some content, whether it’s for compliance, leadership, or a new software roll out. Transform eLearning offers a flexible content development service. They can help you design and build any type of content and media - e-learning, animation, video and podcasts etc. as well as online social learning experiences. They offer end-to-end design services where they’ll work with you to identify the learning outcomes, structure the programme, storyboard the content and develop it online. But they’re flexible approach means they can also take the content you already have and quickly convert it into a digital product for your employees or customers.
Sam has a good grounding in learning science as well as design and believes that working on creative projects should be fun too. His approach is always practical and pragmatic. The simplest solution is usually the best one when it comes to learning.
