Full Biography
Mike started out as a cashier at West Bromwich Building Society where he would spend the next 28 years climbing the corporate ladder. He joined Clydesdale Yorkshire Bank in 2008 as a Senior Partner in Birmingham. This was followed by a move to Investec Private Bank in 2015 as a Regional Head of Private Banking. Then Finance 4 Business appointed Mike as a Senior Business Development Manager in January 2019.
Mike uses his knowledge and expertise of the sector to provide SMEs with a range of lending solutions through both traditional and niche lenders. He can assist clients with bridging, development and commercial finance as well as sourcing solutions in cash flow, invoice and asset finance. He can also advise businesses on Research and Development (R&D), Capital Allowances, business sales and acquisitions.
Outside of banking Mike takes an active role in being an advocate for the city he loves and is the Development Director for Birmingham city centre. He is also an ambassador for Birmingham Hospice, founding member of West Midlands Irish Business Group (WMIBG) and a member of the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce Council. When he does get some free time he enjoys running, National Hunt Racing and watching Aston Villa.
